Varsity Scholastic Bowl Results vs. Tremont, DeeMack, EPG (1/26/2012)
Juniors Nathan Myszka and Tyler Peterson led the Varsity team to a 245-50 victory over EPG in the only match that counted in the standings on Thursday. The Vikings are now 4-0 in the HOIC. Good job VIKINGS.

7th Grade Scholastic Bowl
The seventh grade scholars traveled to Olympia this evening to score a victory in their first competition of the year. Congrtulations to Mark Will, Hayden Walker, Travis Zook, Jake Foley, and Seth Nevis who all had right buzz ins(RBI's) to lead to the win!! Great job Vikings! 2012 Viking Football Camp Dates!
The 2012 Viking football camp will run July 9-12 and July 16th-19th from 5-8pm for all high school football players. I have been receiving requests for this info and wanted to get it out asap. registration will be open soon. The weightroom will be closed the week of July 2nd through July 8th and July 30th-August 7th, those would be excellent vacation times for those of you who have been asking. 8th Grade Volleyball Wins First Conference Match
It was exciting, and just how a great volleyball match should be played! Our 8th Grade Lady Vikings came out on top in 3 sets that went back and forth against a tough Fisher team. Fisher played very well and never quit. Our ladies held their ground though and were scrappy on the floor and came up with big plays when we needed them! We've had some tough losses lately and tonight the ladies proved to themselves that if they play their game and stick with it, they can be victorious! Congratulations ladies on your first conference win!

8th Grade Scholastic Bowl Victory
The 8th grade team was victorious in their match against Olympia this evening! Those earning RBIs (Right Buzz Ins) were Kasi Garcia, Brandon Auth, Jeremy Wallace, Jessi Simpson, Ian Roberds, and Sarah Lange. The team did a great job conferring and led the match through the second half! Way to go Vikings! Our next practice will be Tuesday, January 31st, from 3:15-4:00.

Donations for the NHS Garage Sale
Are you cleaning out closets and getting rid of things to make room for all the Christmas presents you received? Donate your clean, usable items to the NHS garage sale that will be held in August! We have some limited storage available so please only drop off (at this time) clothes and small household items. We will accept the bigger things this summer. Please contact Shari Riley before you drop anything off so that we can arrange to put it into storage. Last year we made $1800 from the items that were donated by our wonderful community members! KINDERGARTEN/PRE-K SCREENING
Appointments are now being taken for our Kindergarten and Preschool screenings to take place March 12th – 15th. All Tri-Valley children turning 5 before September 1, 2012 that will be entering kindergarten next Fall will need to be signed up for a kindergarten screening. All Tri-Valley children who turn 3 on or before the dates of the screenings are encouraged to participate in our preschool screenings. (Children already enrolled in the ECE or Pre-K classrooms DO NOT need to be rescreened.) To schedule an appointment for your child to be screened, please call the Tri-Valley Elementary office at 378-2031. Please help us spread the word to family and friends who have children eligible to be screened.

ANNA C. MIKEL MEMORIAL
 On August 29th of Y2010 Anna C. Mikel, a graduate of Downs High School class of Y1935 passed away. Donations, in her memory, were made to the DHS Alumni Association. Since Anna was a Registered Nurse, those memorial dollars were used, in her name, to purchase a medical (transport) wheel chair for subsequent delivery to Tri-Valley CUSD #3. Shown in this picture is Sally (Ryburn) Wagner RN class of Y1956 delivering the chair on November 14th to the TV representatives David Mouser (TV Principal) and Bonnie Mitchell (District Nurse).

TVEF 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

TVMS Cheerleading Performance

The 6th grade volleyball teams hosted El Paso last night. The Gold team lost their match 7-25 and 21-25, while the Blue team lost 21-25 and 8-25. Both the Gold and Blue teams had some good rallies and had took opportunities to downball. Keep working hard and playing aggressively girls! Both teams will play again at home on Monday, Jan. 30th at 5:30 against Blue Ridge.

Middle School Wrestling Team Remains Undefeated!!
In front of a spirited hometown crowd, our middle school wrestling team improved to 7-0 by defeating Bloomington Junior High 57-46. On Friday, they defeated Lincoln 84-18 and Kingsley 73-31. Individuals winning all three matches were: Dalton Jensen, Brock Danko, Carson Schaeffer and Peyton Roop. Congrats to all wrestlers!!

 Attention Junior Parents- If you are interested in helping with prom this year there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 8th at 6:30pm in room 101 at the high school. Any parent interested in helping with prom or after-prom (April 28th) is encouraged to attend.
