The Lady Vikings won the Small School Invite tonight with 208 points! Laney Nelson was the meet MVP winning the Triple Jump, Long Jump, 100m, and finished 2nd in the 200m.

Braden Leifheit and Gage Sylvester showed their Viking pride representingTri-Valley this past weekend at the Illinois State Chess Championships in Schaumburg, Illinois, competing against some of the best players across the entire state - way to end the season strong!

Annual BNASC MLK Tournament @ ISU:
Upper Primary Division Team (Braden Leifheit, Gage Sylvester, Clark Nancarrow, Archer Nancarrow, Ishaan Lella, and Nora Box) held on to 5th place after their strong debut at the 12/2 tournament
Our Junior High team (Myles Chambers, Tyler Henrikson, Henry Isaacs, Hudson White) got 6th place, edged out of 5th by just one point
Ishaan Lella also placed as the Top Unrated Player in the Upper Primary Division; Clark Nancarrow won First out of all players with a USCF rating under 200; Gage Sylvester won First under 400; Henry Isaacs won top under 600 for the Junior High Division.
January 27 Tournament @ Kingsley:
Upper Primary Division Team ( (Braden Leifheit, Gage Sylvester, Clark Nancarrow, Archer Nancarrow, Ishaan Lella) - 5th place
Alfonso Gosalbez also took home the trophy for Top Unrated Player in the Lower Primary Division - congratulations, Alfonso!
Alfonso, Archer, and Ishaan all scored 3 points, Tri-Valley's first 3 point performances of the season!
February 3 Tournament @ Benjamin:
Upper Primary Division Team ( (Braden Leifheit, Gage Sylvester, Clark Nancarrow, Archer Nancarrow) - 5th place, with a team best personal score for the season of 11 points!
Junior High Team (Tyler Henrikson, Myles Chambers, Hudson White) - 4th place
Alfonso Gosalbez - Top Unrated in Lower Primary Division and the first Tri-Valley player to reach 3.5 points in a tournament!
This Thursday 3/14 will be the last official Chess Club practice for this school year. Chess Club practices are open to all students at all grade levels K - High School, with tournament opportunities (optional) throughout the year currently spanning grades K - 8. Congrats to Tri-Valley's Jackson Ritch, a 7th' Grader, who earned the 6th place metal at 215 lbs at the IESA Wrestling State Finals on Saturday! Austin Pacha (8th) and Landon Mayes (8th) also represented Tri-Valley and Panther Wrestling very well at the State Finals! Great job guys!

Regional Champs! Congratulations to 8th grade volleyball on defeating Monticello to capture the regional title. The girls advance to play in the sectional Monday night in El Paso at 6:30 pm. GO VIKINGS!
7th Grade volleyball is headed to state! The girls will play at 8:15 pm Friday at Warrensburg Latham in the IESA State Tournament. GO VIKINGS!
